Dear Senator McCain,
As excerpt from your Republican Presidential Nominee Acceptance Speech:
"I've worked with members of both parties to fix problems that need to be fixed. That's how I will govern as president. I will reach out my hand to anyone to help me get this country moving again.
My friends I have that record and the scars to prove it. Senator Obama does not.
Instead -- instead of rejecting good ideas because we didn't think of them first, let's use the best ideas from both sides. Instead of fighting over who gets the credit, let's try sharing it. This amazing country...This amazing country can do anything we put our minds to. I'll ask Democrats and Independents to serve with me. And my administration will set a new standard for transparency and accountability."
----------------------------------------------
You promise "transparency" Senator McCain? Senator Obama has been there done that.
Sorry to say Senator McCain, your opponent Senator Obama has already "set a new standard for transparency and accountability". And how ironic that your campaign promise above can now be used to fully rebuke your own campaign's central message that Senator Obama has never crossed the aisle to pass legislation of any importance.
Perhaps, you forgot that..........
In September of 2006 on CNN, Senator Obama discussed the bipartisan Coburn-Obama Transparency Bill, which created a public searchable website of all federal spending. This allows the American people to find out where their tax dollars are going. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYgDAmtrcJQ
And the end result of his significant bipartisan effort........

Oh and lets not forget about your promise of "accountability".
For your information Senator McCain, the cornerstone of Senator Obama's campaign signature slogan Yes We Can! is enabling the American Public to hold our elected representatives, corporate lobbyists, major corporations, and social organizations directly accountable for their actions or non-actions taken on critical public issues by moving the discussion on such issues from behind Washington's closed doors to in front of the public.
As an example, the long sought timely resolution of the critical issue of Universal Health Care will begin and end with a transparent public national discussion held with all the major players sitting around a shared public table at the same time and all best prepared with their best ideas to propose, develop, negotiate, and reach agreement on a win-win solution for all parties involved or face the political and economic consequences of being held directly accountable by the viewing public for being unable or unwilling to compromise and reach an acceptable agreement in the best interest of the American Public.
The point is "transparency and accountability in Washington" is the essential meaning of Senator Obama's message Yes We Can!
In other words, unlike you, Senator Obama is not just asking us to believe in his already demonstrated ability to bring real change to Washington, he is also asking us to believe in our ability to do so and that is........
Real Change We Can Believe In!
Respectfully,
