"Putting Veterans First......Apparently Not!

advertisement

Purposely lost and yet to be found by any one of the great many "Republican Loyal Soldiers" all extolling Senator McCain's life story (inclusive of his P.O.W. life-changing experience), is any mention of Senator McCain's track record supporting federal legislation for his fellow veterans.

Their forgetful lapse at the Republican Convention is understandable given Senator McCain's historical lackluster track record initiating, pushing for, and/or voting in favor of senate legislative bills providing additional services and benefits to veterans.

The fact is Senator Obama has a far higher favorable rating among nationally known veteran organizations and has written, sponsored, help pass, and voted "Yes" to more federal legislation benefiting our veterans in his first two years spent as a U.S. Senator than Senator John McCain has during his last eight years spent in Washington.

So of course every Republican and the one Democrat speaking on his behalf conveniently forget to include this actual piece of reality as part of the laudatory Senator McCain auto-biographic story they are so happily selling to their captive republican audience and the nation at-large this week.

Perhaps, Senator McCain himself forgot to mention to them beforehand his lack of loyalty to veterans as he has consistently conveniently forgotten to tell the American Public at anytime during this campaign and and of course forgot to mention tonight as well.

In the case of Senator John McCain, one would think that "Putting Country First" also means "Putting Veterans First".

Apparently Not!
